I am taking off a few weeks for the Thanksgiving holidays to be with my family. Plus, my mother is recovering from pneumonia, and I need to be at home right now to help care for her. In honor of Veterans’ Day this year, I would like to write a blog post sharing my thoughts about my favorite march, John Philip Sousa’s "The Black Horse Troop." I would also like to take a moment to thank all veterans for their selfless service to this great country. We would not be where we are today without the sacrifices made by our uniformed service members.

Here are some thoughts on my newest arrangement for Craig Music Publishers: a clarinet quartet medley that transforms the traditional French carol “Patapan” into an imaginative “Patapan Fantasy,” incorporating five additional Christmas favorites.
