This intermediate woodwind quintet digital download arrangement transforms the traditional French carol "Patapan" into an imaginative "Patapan Fantasy," incorporating beloved Christmas songs like "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen," "Joy to the World," "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel," "We Three Kings of Orient Are," and "Good King Wenceslas," representing carols from England, France, the Czech Republic, and the United States.

It is perfect for all holiday events, gatherings, recitals, or caroling gigs. The arrangement was written for most ensembles, from advanced high school quintets to college ensembles to professional quintets. What appealed to me most about this piece was that it's pitched in a minor key, making it slightly different from most Christmas carols.

Written in the 18th century under the title "Guillô, pran ton tamborin," this charming French carol tells the story of the Nativity from the viewpoint of shepherds playing their flutes and drums for the newborn Christ child. As usual, I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon.
