For Clarinet Choir
🎄Enchant your audiences with this intermediate digital download arrangement for clarinet choir of Ennio Morricone's beautiful piece "Gabriel's Oboe" from the 1986 movie The Mission. It is perfect for recitals, weddings, educational outreach, holiday events, and funerals. This lyrical gem was written for advanced high school clarinet choirs, as well as college and professional ensembles. As always, I have included an alternate Bb clarinet part in lieu of a missing Alto clarinet, and a contra-alto clarinet part as an alternate or in addition to the contrabass clarinet part.
🎄This arrangement features a solo clarinet in place of a solo oboe and standard clarinet-choir instrumentation of Eb, Bb, Alto, Bass, and Contra clarinets. Morricone's beautiful score for The Mission went on to win a BAFTA and a Golden Globe Award, though it was overlooked for an Oscar. Many artists have recorded the popular tune, including Yo-Yo Ma, Sir James Galway, and Sarah Brightman. Originally scored for a studio orchestra, I hope you enjoy this unique setting of a holiday classic.
