Enrich your repertoire with this intermediate arrangement for clarinet quartet of John Philip Sousa's march "Nobles of the Mystic Shrine"--instantly downloadable for your next performance. This arrangement is perfect for recitals, Pops concerts, patriotic events, Americana programs, children's concerts, or educational outreach. This short, engaging piece can break up a long program and give listeners a brief break from heavier pieces. Sousa wrote this march in 1923, a year after becoming a Shriner himself. This fraternal society is well known for its philanthropy, particularly its support of children's hospitals. Sousa dedicated this march to all Shriners.
This arrangement was written for most clarinet quartets, ranging from advanced high school groups to college ensembles to professional quartets. My quartet arrangements have equally balanced parts so all Bb's play melody, harmony, technical passages, and obbligatos. Originally scored for a concert band, I hope you enjoy this unique setting of an American classic march for clarinets.
