Rossini | Italian in Algiers Overture | for clarinet choir

ISMN # 979-0-3071-0018-3

Enchant your audiences with this advanced-intermediate, high-spirited arrangement for clarinet choir of Gioachino Rossini's "Overture" from his operatic dramma giocoso L'Italiana in Algieri--instantly downloadable for your next performance. This classic Rossini overture is a perennial favorite for wind players. Written at the end of the Classical Era, it is perfect for recitals, contests, competitions, graduations, special events, and educational outreach performances. This lively overture, also called a sinfonia, offers typical Rossini features such as beautiful melodies, spirited rhythms, and, of course, the obligatory "Rossini crescendo."

I have included alternate Bb clarinet parts in lieu of a missing Eb clarinet or Alto clarinet. I have also included a Contra Alto Clarinet part as an alternate or in addition to the Contrabass Clarinet part. I hope you enjoy this delightful setting of a Rossini classic; it will bring a taste of Italian opera to your next musical event.
