Mendelssohn: Wedding March (from "A Midsummer Night's Dream, Op. 61") - for Woodwind Quintet

$15.99

This intermediate woodwind quintet digital download arrangement of the famous "Wedding March" from Felix Mendelssohn's Incidental Music, Op. 61, set to William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream, is a wedding music staple. It is most often used as the recessional for weddings. This spirited arrangement, from the Romantic Era, was written for college groups, amateur ensembles, and professional quintets.

As always, I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon. Written in 1842, five years before Mendelssohn's death, this exuberant and sprightly march was commissioned by a Prussian King while Mendelssohn was the Music Director of the Gewandhaus Orchester in Leipzig, Germany. Originally composed for piano, I hope you enjoy this unique setting for winds. Add this CMP arrangement to your own wedding music collection now!
