For Woodwind Quintet
Celebrate the holiday season with this intermediate woodwind quintet arrangement of Irving Berlin's iconic holiday hit "White Christmas" from the movie White Christmas — instantly downloadable for your next performance. The arrangement is perfect for holiday recitals, events, parties, or caroling gigs. It was written for most ensembles, from high school groups and amateur ensembles to college groups and professional quintets. As always, I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon.
🎄Grammy-, Oscar-, and Tony-winning American songwriter and composer Irving Berlin wrote "White Christmas" on a hot, sunny day in California in 1940. Bing Crosby first introduced the song on a radio show in 1941, and it appeared on the big screen in 1942 in the classic movie musical Holiday Inn, where it won an Oscar for Best Original Song. The tune went on to become the best-selling Christmas song of all time, being covered by everyone from Elvis to Karen Carpenter to Lady Gaga. Originally scored for a studio orchestra, I hope you enjoy this unique setting of an American holiday classic for winds.
