Immerse your listeners in the world of Stephen Schwartz's iconic hit musical and movie Wicked with this intermediate woodwind quintet arrangement of "One Short Day"--instantly downloadable for your next performance. This lively, quirky, and charming song is perfect for weddings, pops concerts, movie nights, Broadway nights, or educational programming. This arrangement was written for advanced high school and college ensembles, amateur groups, and professional quintets. As always, I have included an alternate bass clarinet in lieu of a missing bassoon.
This arrangement has great lines for everyone and features a toe-tapping melody sure to be a hit with audiences. This upbeat, theatrical Broadway musical number is a joy to perform, offering each player technical and rhythmic challenges while also providing beautiful rubatos. Listening to the movie soundtrack or Broadway score can help you interpret the style if you are unsure. I hope you enjoy this unique setting of a Broadway smash hit arranged for winds.
