My clarinet quintet arrangements feature equally balanced parts, so Ebs & Bbs get to play melody, harmony, and technical passages.
🎄In 1966, Broadway composer Jerry Herman wrote this favorite American Christmas tune for the musical Mame. It was written for a segment in the show when the main character, Mame Dennis, loses her entire fortune. The song used the festive holiday spirit to cheer up Mame, her nephew Patrick, and the household staff. This universal need for joy in bleak times has earned the song a place in our hearts during the holiday season. Originally scored for a pit orchestra, I hope you enjoy this unique setting for five clarinets.
