For Woodwind Quintet
The year 2025 marked the thirtieth anniversary of the Disney Broadway musical Beauty and the Beast. In honor of that anniversary, here is a new intermediate digital download arrangement for woodwind quintet of the beautiful tune "Home" from this musical. It is perfect for Pops recitals, Broadway- or Disney-themed concerts, educational outreach, and children's concerts. It was written for advanced high school groups, as well as amateur, college, and professional ensembles. As always, I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon.
This tune is a new song written by Alan Menken and Tim Rice for the 1993 stage musical and appears as background music in the live-action 2017 Disney film Beauty and the Beast. This soaring, dramatic Act I ballad is reflective, poignant, and melancholy, and offers a woodwind quintet and their audiences a beautiful tune to enjoy. Originally scored for a pit orchestra, I hope you enjoy this unique setting for woodwind quintet.
